The Firm was established in the year 1971 by 1) Mr. Nazmul Huda, Barrister at Law, Advocate of the Appellate Division of the SupremeCourt of Bangladesh and Former Minister and Former MP, Ex President, Supreme Court Bar Association and former CabinetMinister of Bangladesh; and 2) Mrs. Sigma Huda, Advocate of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh, former Member of the Bangladesh Bar Council for the terms 1995-1998 and 2001-2004 respectively (the Bar Council is the apex statutory body created for the enrollment, conduct and discipline of the Lawyers of the country). She was also appointed as the first UN Special Rapporteur on Trafficking in Persons in the United Nations at Geneva in 2004. She was a member of the Bangladesh Labour Law Reforms Commission when it was set up in 1991. The Firm has over 11 lawyers who are engaged on full time basis and deal exclusively with the affairs of the Firm. Apart from these lawyers and as the Firm enjoys a country wide practice in the different courts of law in Bangladesh, the Firm has, a panel of listed lawyers, additional 25 lawyers who conduct cases on behalf of our clients in the different towns and cities of Bangladesh. We also maintain a group of experienced lawyers and investigators who carry out investigations on behalf of our clients as and when requested. The Firm has an Income Tax and other Revenue Wing where revenue lawyers, Advocate Deepak Kumar and Advocate Santosh Dev are made responsible for carrying out revenue cases and/or giving opinion on fiscal matter. These lawyers are responsible also for paying tax and returns (including VAT etc.) on behalf of our clients in the different revenue offices.
